Four loss season

“And the Gators lose again…for the third time this season.”

“At least those three losses weren’t in consecutive weeks. Like this year. And the season isn’t even over. Let’s hope I’m not crying my eyes out after the Florida vs. Georgia game on Saturday. I’ll always be a Gator fan, but some years are harder than others.”

Yesterday was rough for the Gator faithful. After three heartbreaking losses, three weeks in a row to Alabama, LSU, and Auburn (geez, the SEC is tough) we were glad for a week off to revive our team spirit. Plus it gave our senior quarterback another week to recover from his ankle injury he sustained in the first half of the Alabama game. The Gators were holding their own against one of the best teams in the country until then, but fate hasn’t been on our side since. Unfortunately our two freshman backup quarterbacks just aren’t ready for Division I yet. But with Brantley back on the roster yesterday I had hope that this losing streak was going to be broken. I was wrong. Florida lost to Georgia in a close game, bringing this year’s losing streak to four. Four losses in a row. Ugh. Luckily I was baking the muffins for the Halloween party during the game so I wasn’t just sitting on the couch stressing out as the Gators lost. It’s probably a good thing that I’ll be in San Francisco next weekend so I probably won’t be watching their homecoming game against Vanderbilt next Saturday. My nerves can’t take much more of this! I’ll still be wearing my Florida attire in San Francisco, though, because no matter where I am I still bleed Orange and Blue. Go Gators!
