So tired

I’m so tired! For the last few weeks I’ve been preparing for a big event at work that I’m in charge of that finally took place yesterday and today. I’ve put in a lot of hours and stressed out a lot, but it was all worth it because my event went really well the last two days. I’m very proud of the smoothness of the execution, but I’m extremely glad it’s over because I’m exhausted. Luckily I was able to leave work at 3:30 PM today – much earlier than usual. Unfortunately my day wasn’t over then. Dan and I had to go to Arthur Murray tonight at 8:30 PM for our freestyle checkout of Silver I Rumba and Waltz. This is something I was not looking forward to because the last freestyle checkout I attended was a disaster. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say I left in tears. It was fairly humiliating. When I got home from work this afternoon I crawled into bed to take a nap before we had to leave for Arthur Murray. I was unsuccessful. My poor stomach was in knots by the time Dan got home. I didn’t know how I was going to make it through. But then then freestyle checkout turned out to be no big deal. I’ll write more about it later, but Dan and I danced our Rumba and Waltz with no major problems and no major embarrassments. Phew! Unfortunately we didn’t get home until almost 11 PM so now I’m rushing to finish this post so I can go to bed. I don’t have to be at work at 6:30 AM like the last three days so I can sleep in a little bit. That will be nice. Too bad I have four hours of meetings starting at 8 AM. But after that I have lunch plans with some co-workers and then I’m taking the afternoon off! I’m really looking forward to that. Maybe I’ll even have time to make Dan and me a decent dinner. It’s going to be great. Until tomorrow everyone!
